The Audi S6 was Born to Focus on Speed and Luxury and it Certainly Does Just That
The Audi S6 comes in two trim levels: Premium Plus and Prestige. Audi has always been generous with the luxury content that one expects from the brand, and its midsize dimensions make it one of the better models for seating multiple passengers. The S6 focuses on performance, and as such its ride quality is harder-edged than that of other Audi vehicles. The S6 effectively splits the difference between the large motor luxury sedans and the fast-speed ultra-performance models, making it more suitable and comfortable for a weekend-outing. The acceleration from the 450 horsepower V8 engine does make the S6 one of the fastest sports sedans. Among the standard and optional features are a sport-tuned adaptive air suspension with variable damping, adaptive cruise control, and various packages to assist the driver. There is also night vision and carbon-ceramic brakes, as well as adaptive LED headlights.
The Understated Cabin
The Audi S6 cabin rewards owners with an uncluttered aesthetic design and high-quality materials making it attractive as well as functional. The diamond-stitched leather massaging seats with eight-way adjust are perfectly contoured for keeping passengers comfortable on trips, no matter whether short or long. A welcome addition to the current model S6 is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as it allows iPhone and Android Smartphone users to mirror certain functions through the Audi Multimedia interface. As well there is mobile Wi-Fi and a navigation system with touchpad and voice recognition. A driver seven-inch information centre display is located between the gauge, and Audi Drive Select offers adjustable settings for steering, suspension, and transmission response. Also standard are a rearview camera, Bluetooth phone and a 14-speaker Bose surround sound audio system.
Standard exterior features for the Premium plus trim include 19-inch wheels with summer tires, S-specific styling elements, and automatic xenon headlights. There are also LED running lights and taillights, a sport-tuned adaptive air suspension, a sunroof, and heated auto-dimming power-folding side mirrors. As well, there are front and rear parking sensors, a blind-spot warning system and keyless ignition and entry.
The 2017 Audi S6 has standard safety equipment that includes anti-lock disc brakes, stability and traction control, front-seat side and knee airbags, and side curtain airbags. As well, there is a blind-spot warning system, forward collision mitigation, a rearview camera and front and rear parking sensors.
