Dodge Ram 1500
Although the Ram 1500 seems to have forsaken some of its big outdoors trim, various others of its inherent features have been transferred between the available trims. In addition, an 8-speed automatic transmission is the only choice.
The mature Ram 1500 still gives the performance with style
Many could have the opinion that the Dodge Ram 1500, being one of the oldest designs currently available in its segment, could be a relic of the past in present! Right; wrong, that is not the case because there are plenty of these model year vehicles that will motivate you to retain your confidence in what has been our preferred light-duty pickup for a significant time. Amongst the Ram 1500 assets is an exceptional engine selection. Despite not heading the class in the towing capacity this remains a highly capable truck. It's helped by the standard engine being a robust and efficient V6, but if you prefer, there is also an available V8 that will give you towing power a-plenty! Or, you could go for the turbocharged diesel-V6 that has determined the fuel economy benchmark for the Dodge Ram 1500 class.
The versatile full-size pickup
The full-size Ram 1500 pickup is available in multi-body styles; with the regular usually 2-doors cab seating three and available with a 193-cm or 244-cms cargo bed. If you prefer the Quad Cab that seats 6-passengers, this is supplied only with a 193-cms bed. The Crew Cab also offers 4-doors, but with larger-sized rear doors, which increases the legroom for the rear-seat passengers. The versatility of the Dodge Ram 1500 is shown by 10-trim-levels: Tradesman, Express, HFE, SLT and Big Horn, Lone Star, Sport, Rebel and Laramie, Laramie Longhorn and Limited. Reportedly, a Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie crew cab 4-Wheel-Drive fitted with the diesel engine showed its acceleration pace from zero to 96 km/h 8.7 seconds. Although that may not break any records, the efficient and effective torque of the engine makes town driving relatively easy. If you select a specifically equipped Ram 1500 with the gasoline V6 engine, it is capable of towing over 3451-kilograms. By comparison, the V6-diesel offers a maximum of 4177-kilograms and the V8 will give you a 4826-kilograms capacity.
Safety equipment is standard with the Dodge Ram 1500 and includes; Four-wheel antilock disc brakes, Stability control and hill start assist, Trailer-sway control, Front-seat side airbags and full-length side curtain airbags. Also, there is an available fully integrated trailer-brake controller, a rear-view camera and front and rear parking sensors. Those models with Uconnect Access have the advantage of an emergency system able to connect with emergency services at the touch of a button. The Dodge Ram 1500 can almost turn the hardest work into a pleasure!
