The Ford E250 is part of the much-loved E series, offering high quality driving with a generous cargo capacity. Optional extras add luxury functions, as well as increasing security and safety on the road.
Turn Work into a Pleasure with the Ford E250
The E-series from Ford has been one of their most popular van ranges, gaining a solid reputation due to its reliability and on-road performance. The E250 marks the midrange in the series, but like its bigger sibling the E350, it's a full-sized van which bears a striking resemblance to the Super Duty trucks.
The Ford E250 is all about size and you won't be short of that, whether you opt for the cargo or recreational trims. For the former you will have just two passenger seats as standard but a cargo space of between 237 and 278 cubic feet, depending on whether you opt for the extended wheelbase. If you need to transport passengers, you will be able to comfortably fit in either 12 or 15, depending on the wheelbase.
There needs to be a meaty engine to power such a beast and Ford doesn't disappoint with V8 4.6 litre, capable of producing 225 horsepower at 4800 RPM and 286 lb.-ft. of torque at 3500 RPM. The transmission is a four-speed automatic across the range.
Vans aren't particularly renowned for their luxurious range of features and it would be fair to say the Ford E250 is more practical than indulgent, but there's still a decent model to enjoy.
What you get depends on whether you opt to upgrade to the extras, but if you purchase a higher trim level, there's a very respectable range of features.
As standard, you'll receive steel wheels, power steering, air conditioning, vinyl seating, an adjustable steering wheel, dual airbags and rear wheel drive.
Upgrading will extend the features to cloth seating, rear air conditioning, hands-free communication, navigation, satellite radio, MP3 player, heated seats and cruise control.
Staying Safe and Secure
Safety and security are well catered for with the E250 with all season tires, a spare tire and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System as standard. Four-wheel disc brakes with ABS are fitted across the entire range while traction control and electronic stability control can be added as optional extras.
Help is available for optimum maneuverability with a rear parking aid which can be added.
Keyless entry, a backup camera, alarm and Vehicle Anti-Theft System are all available as upgrades on commercial and recreational models.
If you need a large-sized van that handles well on the road, take the Ford E250 out for a spin. The eight-cylinder engine and coil spring front suspension provide a smooth ride which handles well on the highway and around the city too.
