There’s plenty about the Volkswagen Jetta to be happy about including generous cargo space, comfortable seats, an easy-to-use infotainment system, quality materials inside the cabin, fairly peppy engines, good handling, comfortable ride and the list goes on. If you are on the market for a German-built sedan that you know won’t leave you stranded at the side of the road, the Jetta is an excellent choice. Keep reading to learn more about this practical four-wheeler.
A Number Of Choices Depending On How You Like Your Power
The Jetta is a compact sedan that can move fairly well thanks to a selection of one of three turbocharged four-cylinder engines under the hood. Each puts out 150, 170 and 210 horsepower, respectively, which is more than enough to get you around town. Each engine has plenty of power for daily situations and makes for an enjoyable drive regardless of its power output, though it needs to be said that the higher-powered engines still add significantly more fun to the driving experience. The Jetta is also more athletic than it used to be and is still just as fun to drive as it’s always been. While you’d be hard-pressed to call it an athletic car, the compact sedan provides a very comfortable cruising ride despite its sportiness.
Practicality As A Strong Suit
As you’d expect, the Jetta is very spacious on the inside and can seat five people with room to spare. Even taller adults will struggle to find something to complain about, especially when it comes to rear head- and legroom. As a result of a clean-cut design, the Jetta’s minimalist interior could almost pass for an Audi. While you will encounter some hard plastics throughout the cockpit, it still does not take away from the overall impression of strict functionality combined with an eye-catching and modern design. Given that it’s a sedan, the Jetta also incorporates more than plenty of cargo room and the trunk space alone is good for nearly a dozen pieces of carry-on luggage or around four sets of golf clubs.
Pretty, Functional And Well Equipped
On one hand, the Volkswagen Jetta can’t really be said to stand out when it comes to standard equipment. It offers Bluetooth, a USB port, four speakers and an infotainment system that features a 5-inch touch screen in the base version. On the other, additional options really make this car hold its own against a number of higher-priced competitors. Just some of the optional bells and whistles include a cooled glove box, navigation, dual-zone automatic climate control, a nine-speaker Fender premium audio system, satellite radio, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a 6.3-inch touch screen and a power sunroof. While you’ll notice sharper graphics on the larger available screen, even the base version touch screen infotainment system is very easy to use. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are optional but they’re not available even as upgrades for many competitors.
Just The Right Amount Of Car
If you’re not the type of driver that needs the best of everything or top specs in order to enjoy their time inside your ride, the Volkswagen Jetta may be the car for you. While it won’t dazzle or impress with superb specs on paper or, it will faithfully serve you at all times. The Jetta is best suited for drivers who care about reliability, usability and sturdiness and don’t really pay mind to trinkets. Consider investing in the Volkswagen Jetta because it is a car that truly brings a lot to the table inside and out, but most importantly, because part it is a car built to serve you – not the other way around.
