January 06 2020
Whoever said minivans were out of style clearly hasn’t had the luxury of taking a ride in Honda’s latest edition to the Odyssey line. While many families are foregoing the minivan for the “cool” SUVS and crossovers, many families are still in on one of the best kept secrets of the auto industry: minivans. The 2018 Honda Odyssey will have you wondering why you didn’t drag you, your kids, and all their soccer gear into one of these sooner.
If you’re looking for a nice sized family vehicle with surprising fuel economy and the latest tech advances look no further, here’s your Honda Odyssey Review.
Just because you’re riding in a minivan doesn’t mean you don’t enjoy everything everybody else in the car market does. If you’re looking for modern technology, convenience, and comfort for up to eight passengers, the new Odyssey could be everything you’re looking for.
Safety Ratings and Features
When it comes to family vehicles, safety is always a top concern and priority for buyers. Honda doesn’t miss a beat by offering drivers assistive technology and intelligent safety features they won’t be able to get enough of. Here’s what you can expect:
• Adaptive Cruise Control
• Road Departure Mitigation System
• Lane Keeping Assist System
• Collision Mitigation Braking System
Together, these systems allow drivers an added sense of safety with alerts designed to warn you of various risks while driving.
In this day and age, our vehicles are no exception to the rule of connectivity, that’s why the odyssey is rolling out some exclusive new features like the 203mm touch screen infotainment system, Honda CabinTalk and CabinWatch, and Honda CabinControl. It’s never been easier for even the furthest rear passengers to control the temperature, play music, or use the navigation system.
While we’re on the subject of the awesome, never-disappointing interior of the Odyssey, we should probably mention that Honda didn’t neglect to pull out all the stops. Offering passengers better access to the back seats with the available Magic Slide seats in the second row. Now that’s convenience and comfort at its finest.
Just like other model years, the 2018 Odyssey sticks to the basics, only offering the 3.5L V-6 engine coming in strong with 280-HP. Taking a note from the Pilot, this 2018 Odyssey is bringing in the new 9-speed automatic transmission. If you’re inclined to spring for one of the higher trim levels, you’ll get the 10-speed transmission. Fuel economy ratings aren’t yet available, though, we can imagine they’re pretty in line with the last model.
If you’re in the market for a spacious vehicle with modern luxuries that doesn’t compromise on style and comfort to haul around your large brood, the 2018 Honda Odyssey should definitely be at the top of your list of vehicles to check out when you hit the streets to pick out your next ride. We don’t have a set price yet for the latest edition to the Odyssey family, check back a little closer to the anticipated release date this spring.
