The Volvo V60 is powered by a pair of 2.0 Litre four-cylinder inline turbocharged engines that can produce 240 horsepower and are paired with an eight-speed automatic. The wagon is front-drive only, but the Cross Country model is available as an all-wheel drive. The acceleration of the car is respectable but not super fast as it gets off to a sluggish start, but it does keep the V60 fuel efficient. There are drawbacks to this, however, as the in-line four sounds rather coarse at low revs. The outward visibility is good. The 2017 V60 is practical and spacious and just as capable as an SUV. The Platinum trim comes with an option of striking two-tone leather upholstery. The centre instrument display is fully digital offering a choice of three slightly different looks for information. The Volvo’s regular nine-key control layout uses a single knob to control its 7.0-inch infotainment display.
Base models of the Volvo V60 include a moonroof and adjustable front seats. With a Premier package, you get the comforts of a leather-wrapped steering wheel and navigation system. In the Platinum trim, there is a comprehensive safety suite consisting of adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitors, adaptive headlights, Bluetooth streaming, forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, and active lane control. There is a Climate package that adds heated front and rear seats, heated steering wheel, heated windshield, and an air filtration system. As well, there is a Convenience package of keyless ignition and a rear-view camera.
